I am working on putting together a more comprehensive ship’s history. Looking for help to add in the information to fill in all of the spaces and I welcome any input and suggestions…

I applaud the effort Mr. Gomez (is that really your name?) and will put some notes together on my time aboard in the mid to late 60’s. WestPacs were pretty crazy back then and it was at Subic that I earned the WildBill nick that stuck with me for my time aboard ship. But I will save those stories for a later time.
Thanks for putting this together and look forward to meeting and catching up with some more of my old shipmates.

It’s my pleasure Bill. I took on the effort as it was really bugging me that I found so many different chronological timelines of the ship’s history as well as so many gaps in the story. I figured who better but her crew to set the record straight?
Gomez is a nickname given me by my Mexican wife along time ago and it stuck.
Thanks for joining our effort here…
